Arts Programmes – Visual Arts

Our Visual Arts department offers an innovative curriculum that incorporates a range of activities including painting, sculpture, print-making, mixed media and photography. The art and photography teachers encourage students to display their work and to demonstrate service to their community by providing artwork to enhance the aesthetic value of our school. Student artwork is on display in the main office, in the hallways and in the library and frequently draws comments of admiration from other students, staff, and visitors to Bishop Allen. The acquisition of digital cameras has facilitated the contribution of student artwork to both the newsletter and the yearbook. Those students who undertake artistic endeavours in any of our three art studios will undoubtedly continue to produce outstanding products that will engage and inspire a wide audience.
