Bishop Allen Evaluation Policy Plagiarism
A research assignment represents the result of a search for information on a particular aspect of a subject.
Whenever a pupil uses another person's words, ideas or pictures he/she must give credit through a footnote or parenthetical reference.
Bibliographies must also be used.
Failure to do so constitutes plagiarism.
If a pupil is accused of plagiarism, the teacher in consultation with the department head will determine the consequences.
Plagiarism is a serious academic offence that could result in a mark of zero for the plagiarized assignment.
Pupils who submit work for evaluation may not resubmit the same piece of work to another teacher for evaluation in another course.
