Bishop Allen Evaluation Policy – Absence During Exams
Bishop Allen has one set of examinations at the end of each semester in January and June.
Where a pupil misses an examination because of illness there is the possibility of a final mark based on term results.
Each case will be reviewed individually by the administration, and in some cases the guidance counselors.
The presentation of a doctor's letter that clearly states that due to a specified illness, the pupil was unable to write a final examination on the scheduled examination date will be required to support the absence.
Where a pupil misses an examination for significant reasons, other than illness, the principal will determine the appropriate course of action.
