Academics – Business Computers
Bishop Allen Academy offers a wide range of courses in the areas of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Economics, and Information Technology. Students who are enrolled in these areas are provided with the opportunity to experience the many aspects of Business and technology that affect their daily lives. Participation in these areas of study does not end in the classroom; many of the skills developed in the class are far reaching and help young people to develop the life skills that are needed to succeed in their future careers.
In the spring of each school year students who excel in the various disciplines are invited to participate in the annual Ontario Business Educators Association (OBEA) Contests. In past years Bishop Allen has finished first in accounting for the TCDSB and most recently a grade 11 student entered into the Computer Science contest finishing first in the TCDSB and sixth in the province.
